Tournament Policy

Tournament Policy

This policy outlines the rules, expectations, and procedures applicable to all tournaments and competitions organised by or participated in on behalf of Riverina Raptors FC.

Eligibility

  • Players must be registered members of Riverina Raptors FC and hold a valid Football NSW registration for the relevant season.
  • Players must meet the age requirements specified by the relevant competition or tournament.
  • Players serving suspensions from Football NSW or any affiliated body are ineligible to participate until their suspension is served.
  • Guest players may only be used where permitted by the specific competition rules and with prior approval from the club committee.

Player Selection

Player selection for representative tournaments will be determined by the relevant coaching staff, based on player ability, attitude, training attendance, and conduct. Selection decisions are final and are made in the best interests of the team.

Registration and Fees

  • Tournament registration fees must be paid in full prior to the event unless otherwise agreed with the committee.
  • The club will endeavour to subsidise tournament costs where possible, subject to available funds.
  • Players who withdraw from a tournament without reasonable notice may be liable for any costs incurred by the club on their behalf.

Travel and Accommodation

  • Players and guardians are responsible for their own travel and accommodation unless otherwise specified.
  • Where group travel is arranged, all participants must comply with the club's Code of Conduct throughout the trip.
  • Players under 18 must have written consent from a parent or guardian to attend away tournaments.

Conduct During Tournaments

All players, coaches, and accompanying members must adhere to the club's Code of Conduct at all times during tournament participation. The club reserves the right to withdraw players or the entire squad from a tournament if conduct is deemed to bring the club into disrepute.

Disputes

Any disputes arising during a tournament must first be addressed through the tournament organiser's official dispute resolution process. The club will support players and officials in legitimate disputes but will not condone or facilitate unethical conduct.
